week#12 assignement: Mock job interview

first of all, it became the chance for me to recognize my speaking level.
it was not so easy to speak directly with my brain without script  particularly for formal interview.

during this exercise,
first, i realized that i use some expressions and words repeately.
because of my lack of vocabularies, i was embarassed so i repeated them like robot hhhh
like  im,,,,,, or im considerate, x 3

and then i could find that i also roll my eyes very often. as my thought whenever im nervous, i used to do that to release my tension or to just avoid the eye-contact. so it make me seem  very uncomfortable.

in addition, the biggest problem was my voice. it's volume was so small, and then my original voice tune is also low,   so the noise around the class was more bigger than my voice.

therefore in case of the actual interview,
first i have to know the vocabularies related with the job interview and study the better expressions fitted with it.

secondly, i need to try to do eye-contact with the interviewers
becuase it can show my confidence and make them build the trust with me.

finally, it is a mission that i have to overcome in mylife.
i have to make my voice more high and louder
to prevent them from losing their attention to me

in the conclusion, i will have to do mock job interview several times before senior

part# 2 shadow Reading video

http://www.englishcentral.com/video/11544/how-to-travel-cheaply

transcription

Just because you're short on cash, doesn't mean you can't see the world.
You will need: Patience to sniff out the best deals,... ...willingness to rough it,... ...and the ability to be flexible. Optional: A budget travel guidebook.
]Step 1: Use travel consolidators on and offline. They snatch up empty airline seats, and unsold cruise cabins,... ...and resell them at a great discount. Sign up to receive information on last-minute deals. Call hotels directly to see if you can negotiate a cheaper rate. Step 2: Consider youth hostels,... ...especially in the more expensive cities around the world. You'll sacrifice privacy, but you'll save a bundle. If you live in a popular travel destination, consider swapping homes with someone.
Step 3: Rely on street food vendors for most of your meals. If you like to eat out, make lunch your daily restaurant treat instead of dinner. Step 4: Check out student rates on bus and rail passes. Be a "voluntourist" in a country you'd like to visit. You'll get to explore a new culture while helping out the locals... ...and maybe, even wrangle some school credit for the experience.
Step 5: Be flexible. Monday and Thursday departures are generally cheaper than weekend fares,... ...and save a bundle by flying into a less popular city,... ...and then catching a train, or driving to your desired destination. Step 6: Vacation in the off-season,... ...when prices are cheaper and you don't have to fight the crowds. Did you know? According to one survey,... ...French air travelers rate safety as less important than getting a cheap seat.

Yep.
Pretty great.
What was that? I think that was my fault.
Me too.
Why? [ Sighs ] I do this all the time.
She does these amazing things, and I'm so used to it, I don't even make a big deal over Caltech.
I got excited.
Doesn't that count? Well, honey, you get excited over everything.
You're a born cheerleader.
I just need to make a really big fuss over Alex today.
That's all.
I know -- you're upset because I said that you were a born -- There's no such thing as a born cheerleader.
It takes hard work and sacrifice.

Reflection
it took a quite little long time to finish the hang out, because we discussed about each 4 topics
and there was also problem that we weren't well-known about each ohter's
As my thought it's better to choose just one topic in the one scene  prepare thoroughly and discuss clearly

#Scene
[ Ringing ] She's not answering, Phil. Are you calling Andy? It's going straight to voice mail.
[ Call ends ] I can't believe she's pregnant.Let's not jump to any conclusions.Jump? Let's review.
She's been moody, eating weird food, getting nauseous.
She left in the middle of the night for a wedding chapel in Vegas with her secret love, and most suspicious of all, she bought a book! Oh, no.What if you're right? - What will we do? -
I don't know.I'll kill that Andy. How could he be so irresponsible?
I mean, he's a good kid.But to run off with my baby girl after I fell for his "Aw, shucks" act!
Which is probably not an act because he's genuinely nice and he thinks "shucks" is the "S" word.
Still, I want to kill him! But that would be robbing my grandchild of probably a really great father! Damn you, Andy Bailey! His last name is Bailey? Oh, my God, she's gonna be Haley Bailey.
Alex: - Wait.I just thought of something.- What? I'm going to be the first woman in my family not to get pregnant and drop out of college.
Ooh, maybe that should be my essay.I graduated from college.Yeah, and Haley got kicked out of college before she got pregnant.Okay, hang on, honey.I am sending you a picture.
Do you think that this arsonist looks like Andy with a beard? No.He's not an arsonist.
Gloria hired him to take care of her baby.Gloria.Right, of course.
You know how protective she is.I'm sure she had him thoroughly vetted.
[ Ping ] Hola! Gloria, where did you find Andy? At the park, chasing some children.- Oh, my God.- I'm gonna call him again. Hey, mom, check it out.God, Luke, what have you done?! I know.
What does he have to rebel against?
Haley pregnant and me in a mohawk-- This year's Christmas card is gonna rule.
What's going on? Did you find her? No, dad, no, I haven't found her.And you know what?
This is all your fault because you two introduced this horny stranger into our lives.
Let me get this straight. You're mad because your daughter got knocked up and ran off with some goofy guy to get married behind your back.I can't even imagine what that must feel like.Really? Now? I can't think of a better time.Jay, stop kicking her while she's down, pointing out her mistakes at the same time the whole universe is telling her that she's a terrible mother! Oh, my God, okay, can't do this.Got to go.Bye

[reflection]

it was the best one among things we did.
i  felt our shelf project's developing continously
and also the topics was interesting for me i thinks its thes same for others.
because it is the things happened around us in these days.
first we talke about teen's pregnancy and ask each other to give their each own answers to the supposition; if you have a young daughter and she get pregnant, how will you treat it?

second, we discussed about the privacy of social media within the family
by using the supposition like that if your mother find out your diary and read it, how wil be you emotion?

in the course of this hang out, i got to know good, useful expression , particually 'rub in'
and i was so interessed to hear others' experiences.
